Mike and Janet are involved in a ministry of a history magazine, called Old Africa, as a bridge builder for strategic relationships. It is used to get into peoples homes and lives to get their stories and also to share our stories with them, which includes the Gospel.
Mike is also involved in a environment restoration project that involves guarding against degradation of a forest/water catchment area. This project employs a number of Kenyan rangers who patrol against illegal forest activity and also a number of casual labourers who plant trees to provide for their families. The rehabilitation of this forest is crucial to continuing water supply to 2 major hospitals, 3 schools, a Bible school and Rift Valley Academy.
Janet is involved in several types of women and children’s ministries to the local people. There are women who are hurting that will need to be encouraged and challenged in their relationship with Christ.
We have also been involved in encouraging a growing number of believers among the Pokot people in an area called Orus in North central Kenya. This has included putting in wells and other water projects for these very rural people. ALL of these projects are opportunities to share Gods in the form of Solar Bibles. Many of these very rural people cannot read so hearing God’s word in their own language is a great alternative for them.
