Bet Shalom

Bet Shalom is a home for abandoned and at-risk seniors living in the municipality of Zihuatanejo (Guerrero) and beyond. The home has been in operation since the end of 2012, providing a place of refuge for numerous seniors in need.

Our combined mission and vision speak to our purpose in responding to the persistent call of God to address this clearly demonstrated need. We offer Shalom (peace for body, mind and soul). To achieve this, we address the medical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs of each resident.

The facility houses a maximum of 20 residents. They live in double rooms, with a bathroom shared by two rooms. The service areas include dining/living room, kitchen, pantry, laundry, and offices. The second storey has 2 dorms and a 2-bedroom apartment.

This MSC project is a work of faith which is financially independent of government subsidies.

Please visit Bet Shalom’s Facebook Page to see many photos of the ministry. The title is Spanish for “Talking less, Loving more”.  Bet Shalom also has a Website.
