At House Upon the Rock (MSC’s ministry partner in the Dominican Republic), one of the most fruitful strategies over the years has been hosting mission teams who come from all over North America to help our ministries. We used to be able to host teams in local establishments around town. But recently, accommodation costs have skyrocketed, and rooms are becoming scarce. And with the increasing number of teams (as many as 10 each year), it now makes more sense (financially and logistically) to establish our own Mission Team House.
This MSC project will provide safe, reliable, and wholesome accommodation for our teams close to where they will work. Also, House Upon the Rock can use the facility to host conferences for church leaders and Christian gatherings; and can rent it out to other churches for meetings and retreats.
Lord willing, purchase of the lot and construction for this MSC project can get under way in 2025.
