Education Assistance (MEAP)

MSC Canada administers the Missions Education Assistance Program (MEAP). Each year, this program is prayerfully administered to assist workers with the costs of education while on the mission field, both for themselves and for their children. The funds used for this program come from designated gifts and legacies as well as the MSC General Fund.

Distribution is made each fall based on estimated annual costs of education. Allotments are adjusted as necessary to reflect actual amounts needed.

Since 2022, MEAP has been extended to include Post-Secondary education costs for both workers and their children.
Since 2025, MEAP has been expanded to benefit Canadian Ministry Associates.

Detailed Information about applying for MEAP funding is sent out to all mission workers served by MSC annually in the summer.

Eligible expenses include: tuition, board, uniforms, books, transportation, homeschool related courses and materials, postage, and most other directly related expenses.
