After the fall of the Khmer Rouge in 1979, there were only a few hundred believers in Cambodia. However, the church has grown rapidly since then, and today there are as many as 300,000-400,000 believers. Because the church is young, there is a great need to disciple and train Christians so they grow into mature believers who can continue to advance the gospel in Cambodia.
Phnom Penh Bible School is a four-year Bible College which trains Cambodian believers to serve the Cambodian church. The Bachelor in Christian Ministry and Bachelor of Theology academic programs are taught in the Khmer language, and are accredited by the Asia Theological Association. Also, PPBS now offers a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry to Cambodian pastors and Christian workers. God has blessed Phnom Penh Bible School with dedicated local faculty. While the students pay a small fee for their tuition, PPBS relies on donors to provide salaries for Cambodian faculty and staff.
This MSC project provides financial assistance for PPBS faculty and students. We are prayerfully seeking monthly and annual donors to help PPBS employ Cambodian professors to teach Bible classes, as well as to help support worthy students who have financial needs.
