Jesus told his disciples to “come away by yourselves to a quiet place and rest for a while.” (Mark 6:31). Pierres Vivantes, a ministry started and operated by MSC workers, is dedicated to helping God’s servants maintain and renew their health and their passion for ministry, and thus remain effective in pursuing their call to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Based in the village of Entrepierres, our team provides rest, consultation, debriefing and pastoral care for Christian workers serving within the French-speaking world. Serving on the front line of missions can be a hazardous task involving discouragement, loneliness, burnout, and feelings of frustration and guilt from a lack of visible results. Balancing family life with the demands of ministry can be a major challenge as Christian workers struggle to respond to the endless needs of a hurting world. Situated in the Upper Provence region of France, we are able to accommodate up to seven families at times for rest, counseling, debriefing, and medical advice.
