The Integra Foundation, based in Slovakia, is carrying out a multi-year humanitarian relief program in Ukraine. The main areas of focus have been:
- Counselling support for children traumatized by the conflict in Chernihiv and Sumy Regions.
- Food and non-food items delivered to communities in Chernihiv region.
- Microenterprise development for single mothers displaced by the conflict, mainly in Ternopil region.
- Construction of modular homes for families whose houses were destroyed in the conflict.
Upcoming objectives of this MSC project include:
- Delivery of food and non-food items to isolated rural areas, mostly to the elderly.
- Delivery of multipurpose cash assistance to vulnerable families.
- Small business start-up grants for single displaced mothers.
- Training of 200 professionals in recognising and treating child trauma.
- Trialing a peacebuilding workshop to reduce tensions between local and internally displaced groups.
