Tabuk Refuge of Hope International (TROHI) is a ministry helping women and girls escape sexual and physical abuse and providing a safe environment where they can heal and thrive.
TROHI had been sharing a building with a church, but quickly ran out of space. In 2021, TROHI purchased a 7.5-acre piece of land that is perfect for our needs. Thanks to our donors’ generous support, we have been building a 400 sq meter (4300 sq feet) home for our girls. The building can accommodate 25-30 girls, with amenities such as a large kitchen and dining area, lots of bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. We have already completed construction and recently moved into the house. We also have dug two wells; installed gates and an access road; and built a barn/goat house.
More buildings are planned, as the Lord provides. An office building will cost about CN$38,000. The next project is to build long-term missionary housing. We also hope to grow our agriculture program. (Currently, we are caring for chickens, ducks, and goats.)
In the long term, TROHI plans to put up a skills training facility, providing livelihood training for our ministry residents which will allow independent living. Along with that will be a dorm for independent living and short-term missionaries.
Thank you for supporting this MSC project, facilitating the good ministry of Tabuk Refuge of Hope International.
