Online transactions have become more secure, and the benefits of an almost instantaneous transaction have made this an attractive means of giving. The risks and delays of sending items through the mail are also eliminated. You, as the donor, should be aware that MSC Canada is charged a 3% fee on every transaction handled by our payments processor (PayPal) and this fee is passed on to donors directly, so 3% is added to any credit card donation made online.
MSC Canada has a secure, encrypted GIVE section that allows you to make donations via credit card. Donations can be directed to a specific mission worker, project, MSC program, or MSC’s Operations. Please remember that if you have a special request or need more information, you should contact MSC first. To protect your security, all credit card transactions are processed by PayPal, which means that we never have access to your credit card information. You do not need to have to have a PayPal account to donate. You will receive an acknowledgment via email, and annual receipt (typically in February), for the entire amount of your donation. MSC Canada is charged 3% for this service and requires that donors pay this fee when they choose to use a credit card. MSC does not receive this 3% fee.
