About eTeams

eTeams is a ministry providing short-term missions opportunities to witness and work for the Lord in English speaking countries, such as Ireland, Ghana, Jamaica and Belize. These are authentic cross-cultural missions opportunities that do not involve having to learn another language to be effective. After cultural orientation and evangelism training the team is involved in a concentrated program of evangelism as well as ministering to the believers who fellowship at local assemblies.

Our Purpose

Glorifying God through enabling & equipping Christians to effectively work in a cross-cultural environment, encourage the church, and evangelize. Our goal is to bring glory to God, and we believe this will happen through the following:

Team members grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ by:

  1. Trusting in the Lord to provide for all their needs.
  2. Discipleship and daily team Bible studies.
  3. Living and working closely with other team members and national local believers.

Team members will be used of the Lord to help build up the local assembly by:

  1. Fellowship with believers, encouraging them in their own walk and witness.
  2. Participating with the host assembly in its’ various teaching and evangelism ministries.
  3. Sharing the Gospel with Moldovian youth to see them saved, baptized, added to the assembly.

Team members become more effective in their witness for Christ by:

  1. Being taught the message of the Gospel.
  2. Being trained in evangelism.
  3. Gaining experience through participation in evangelism.

These Short-Term Missions aim at producing Long Term Results for the work and witness in the destination country, while also encouraging spiritual growth in personal character and ministry for service in local churches back home.

Is This For Me?

It is if you are 18 or older (even much older); in good health and able to keep up to the strenuous program of discipleship and evangelism; able to live at close quarters with others and esteem others better than yourself; willing to take the place of a servant and a learner and accept leadership; someone whom your elders will recommend for this short-term missionary work. (Please note: If you are younger than 18 and still interested in joining the team, we will consider your circumstances provided we have parental agreement and the recommendation of your church leaders.)

It is if you want to experience God working in and through your life. You will be exposed to a mission field that qualifies in every sense of the word, yet one where you can communicate the Gospel in your own language. You can be useful and effective even in the short-term.

It is if you want to work in fellowship with other Christians from around the world and to enjoy the experience of trusting God together; to experience the encouragement and support of a team; to have friendships develop that will last for eternity.

It is if you are willing to respond to Christ’s call to go into all the world with the Gospel and to give up those things necessary to share His love and salvation with the Moldovan people.

Testimonies

Kathryn D, Manitoba

The highlight of my eTeam experience was the people I met in Ireland in the local assemblies as well as the team members. Everyone was very welcoming and genuinely cared about others, and it was very encouraging to meet other believers with the same beliefs, even though they live in a different country or province.

The best lesson I learned about trusting the Lord to provide for my needs was obtaining the financial support to go on the trip as well as stay on for the extra week. Everything I needed was provided.

The best lesson I learnt about cross-cultural missions is that it is important to prepare and read ahead about the culture of the people you will be working with. The better prepared you are the better you will be able to understand the people and their perspectives.

I would say that a short term mission trip with eTeams is a great way to meet new people, experience a new culture, help people by reaching out to them with the gospel, and deepen your faith in God.

I cherished every moment during my time in Ireland. Now I’m cherishing the memories. I’m so thankful that I was able to have that experience. I’ve learned so much these past few weeks and I won’t ever forget it. Clarissa T, New York

The experiences God gave me, even though they were sometimes emotionally and spiritually challenging, along with the people I met have honestly changed my life.

Meredith B, Pennsylvania

I wasn’t sure if I should go to Ireland because of financial issues, but the Lord told me to go, so without me asking anybody for a dime the Lord gave me over and above what I needed.

I learned that witnessing (though not always) can be a joyful experience.

When I got back I was able to create a summer evangelism schedule for my church. We have been evangelising all summer and it has been an encouragement to the few others in my assembly who are interested in evangelism.

It was the one of the best experiences of my life. The Lord really used this ministry to bless me personally. The strong focus on evangelism is one of my favorite parts of this ministry. I was encouraged in my journey of sharing the gospel with others.

There is great joy in serving The Lord…it goes well beyond ‘happy’…there were times when I was doing street ministry, handing out material or talking to someone about my faith, when I couldn’t stop smiling. I felt incredible love for complete strangers and experienced a miniscule sense of God’s love for me.

Derrinda S, New York

It was an amazing experience for me, and I learned so much!!!! Now I shall sleep for a very long time!!!!!!

Laura L, Ontario

The best lesson I learned is that it isn’t necessary to be a trained, super confident evangelist in order to tell people about the Lord. As long as you have a willing heart, God can use anyone to increase His kingdom.
