CMIAID is a Christian organisation in Moldova that offers a response to the poor, destitute and
needy in Moldova. CMIAID is located in the village of Zirnesti which is in the southern part of
Moldova near the main town of Cahul. It is closely associated with the Zirnesti Christian Assembly.
The organisation has workers from Australia, United Kingdom, Russian, Armenia, Romania, and
Moldova. These are families that have come to assist in the many areas of CMIAID work. Some of
these families have children and so a school began in 2018, to support their educational needs. We
currently have 10 students from the first year of school to Year 4 and the school is fully equipped
with the required resources and programs.
We are looking for 2 or 3 qualified teachers for grades 1 to 6 who feel God’s call on their lives. We
also need an art/music teacher. We are praying for these teachers to come and teach our children
in Moldova from July ready for the first day of school in September. We would like the
teachers to commit to at least a period of one year.
Currently, we follow the Australian curriculum, and our students are working well. As we only have
two more years before two of our students enter Year 7, we are examining the curriculum in both
the United Kingdom and Australia to ensure the best way forward for them from Year 7 to Year 12.
We are also now in the process of registering the school with the Moldovan authorities so that we
will be able to offer education to Moldovan children.
This is not a salaried position, and anyone accepted for the position would be coming as a missionary
teacher and as such either self-supporting or able to raise their own support. However, CMIAID is
committed to providing the following:
• Accommodation at the Bethesda Centre (private one bedroom apartment)
• A small weekly honorarium to help meeting living expenses.
• Return tickets from the teacher’s home country to Moldova.
• Residency permit for Moldova and Moldovan medical insurance.
