Graduation Portachuelo Christian School had its fourth high school graduation. Eighteen students received their diplomas. Most of them have been exposed to the Gospel for 13 years. Keep these kids in your prayers. Most are from non-Christian families. What a privilege and responsibility to have had a part in their lives. Pray for another 260 students coming along behind them. A new generation A group of young people in Eastern Bolivia organized a youth Bible conference and both of us were invited to share. We had the opportunity to teach and interact with about 150 young men and women from several communities. Paraíso We have been working in a small community where the Lord has blessed. Paraíso is an hour's drive along a washboard dirt road that is impossible to use if it rains. Painful experiences Wendy taught at a women's conference. On the last day, she felt led to change her topic, and shared her experience of losing a son to suicide. Many ladies opened up and shared painful experiences. It was liberating for them to know that suffering does not disqualify Christians, but becomes an avenue for God to work in new ways. Read more
Potent motivator An instructor from the Bible School took the students to the downtown plaza to do open air evangelism. They had songs and short drama presentations. Nearly all of them found someone to talk to about the Gospel. We pray that the students will see visible fruit. That's the most potent motivator for young evangelists! Read more
Retreat experiences Last month has been winter school holidays so we had more than the normal number of retreats at ROCA retreat center. Pray that the convictions and decisions made during the retreat experiences might continue, deepen and grow into lasting transformations. Read more
University students Janice shared materials and ideas with several university students who desire to serve the Lord teaching children. Our local church has two outreaches dedicated to children living in the outskirts of Sucre. The children receive food and help with their school homework and our young people are able to share the love of Jesus with them. Pray for fruit. Read more
