Haiti

The 12-year-old son of the vice principal at Repairer of the Breaches School in Haiti fell from a tree and has a compound fracture of his wrist. He was taken to a local clinic to be stabilized and was sent by motorcycle to the closest hospital for surgery. That hospital did not have anesthesia, so they sent him over the…

“Day of the Living”

Today begins the celebration of the Day of the Dead. In the mountain areas where we live, there will be many voodoo ceremonies being held throughout the week. It bothers me that children will be accompanying their parents as they attend these rituals. This is what prompted me to start our children's programs in the mountains. Please pray as we…

Insecurity, inflation, injustice

In Tony's 14 years in Haiti, it has never been as bad as it is now. The country is paralyzed by the gangs. Kidnapping has increased 400% with food prices doubling within the last year. Today, gas was about $12 per liter on the street as many of the highways are controlled by gangs who will hijack trucks if they…

They never heard the Gospel

Our Haitian brothers continue the work to reach souls living in the mountains. During one of our weekly kids’ programs, a brother was approached by some of the community leaders from another area and they asked him if we would come to see them. Immediately a plan was put in place to go visit this community. Last week, a brother…

Dangers on the trail

Please pray for the safety of the people here. Yesterday, people along the road stopped to tell Michael to be careful as there is a new gang operating on the trail. They are robbing people and are beating up individuals who don’t have enough money to give to them. We use caution traveling back and forth to town, but there…

Information in Creole

We had about 1000 copies of our Into the Word gospel pamphlets passed out in the marketplaces and people continue to show great desire for these articles. To answer many questions, we printed information on the virus in Creole and collated it with this last edition. Please pray as we continue to work on these written messages of Gospel Truth.

Loveless culture

Our children’s programs continue to grow and bear fruit. A leader from another mountain area asked us if we could come to share the Gospel with the children there. We have been going there for 3 weeks now and are averaging 80 children per week. In two other areas where we have our kids’ programs, 9 more children asked Jesus…

Bamboo and tarp

Our Bible study meetings are held in the bamboo and tarp shelter that Michael made. We were gifted money to help build a permanent meeting place and we are actively looking for a location that will best suit this purpose. Please pray that God would provide exactly what is needed.
