Health update Thank you for praying. Sid was discharged Monday. He is feeling much clearer in the head but continues having some brain fog. Emergency via Phil Barnes: Sid has had a medical emergency in Michigan while he and Karen were on their way to Florida. At first it was thought he may have had a stroke, but tests are indicating it may not have been. He is in hospital in Ann Arbour undergoing more tests, and he and Karen are in need of our prayers.… Read more
Weekly Bible studies Please pray for our young families. Using Zoom for weekly Bible studies has allowed more parents to attend as they can still be at home with their little children. Read more
Willingness to talk to strangers The lockdown has resulted in more of a comradery and a willingness to talk to strangers. This past week we have befriended some people in our neighbourhood. Please pray that the Lord would enable these contacts made to result in witnessing opportunities. Read more

Carol service We are hosting a carol service in a public park shortly before Christmas. Our hope is that many in the neighbourhood will attend and hear the Gospel. We pray that the message will be clear, and that many will come to understand why Jesus came into the world. Read more
Hospitality Karen has been able to entertain several folks in our apartment. Often this is where people feel relaxed and free to open up about their struggles. Please pray for several couples going through challenges. They need real help from the Lord. Read more
Cruelly treated We are holding a three week marriage course with 14 couples attending. We pray that the Lord will use it to shape God glorifying and gospel centred marriages. Sadly, a new wave of violent xenophobia has hit South Africa. Our hearts are heavy for those who are being targeted, cruelly treated and made to live in fear for their lives. Read more
Long journeys We are in the midst of selling what we have left in Africa and preparing to send some belongings back to Canada. This will be one of our last long journeys to this side of the world as we see our time in Africa slowly coming to an end. We look to the Lord for future guidance. Read more
To Zimbabwe Lord willing, we plan to be in Zimbabwe in June and July. Bruce has been asked to do teaching through seminars and to preach in various assemblies. Bonnie has been asked to teach the ladies. Please pray for fruit lasting to eternity. Read more
Alpha Courses We had the opening session of the Alpha Course at the Leeuwkop prison. Forty-six men signed up to join Alpha including about 16 previous attendees who will go onto more advanced studies. We pray that many of these men will come to salvation. Read more
