For several years in Tarapoto, a one-year resident Bible School has operated under the direction of Jesse and Janelle Mattix. It has been a blessing to the churches around Peru who have sent students and reaped the blessing of what they have learned during their time there. A recent development affecting Janelle’s health requires them to return to the US for treatment, which will likely last a year or so. Rather than suspend this important ministry, we have felt the Lord’s direction to host the Bible School here at Morning Star.
Please make this a matter of prayer as it is a significant undertaking, but we are confident in the Lord’s promise in 1 Thess 5:24 “Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it”. A challenging year lies ahead!
