Suffering physically and emotionally

Submited By: Burnett, Colin & Natalie

Ireland is still in lockdown. Over the past 13 months, we have had 10 months of no church gatherings. This closure has brought many concerns, as half of the fellowship is not joining in on Zoom. Many are discouraged, some are suffering physically and emotionally. Text messages and Zoom cannot meet what they really need. […]

The cries of the helpless

During the pandemic, Dublin Christian Mission transitioned to takeout service, distributing 87,154 hot meals weekly. Please pray that we would maintain the highest standards, reflecting Jesus Christ by remaining tenderhearted to the cries of the helpless and hopeless. […]

Crumbs from the Master’s Table Cooney

Submited By: Cooney, Garnet & Gwen

Garnet recently started a YouTube channel called Crumbs from the Master’s Table Cooney where he is giving short gospel messages and many people are listening to them. We would appreciate prayer for their salvation and growth as they take in these messages. […]

Pandemic restrictions

Submited By: Sheldon, Colin & Rosemary

With churches unable to open, we meet on Zoom. Sadly, there are a few who do not have digital equipment and miss out on these occasions. We are also unable to visit with people in their homes due to the pandemic restrictions. However, these limitations do not stop us from speaking on the telephone and […]

Visible witness

Submited By: Burnett, Colin & Natalie

We have distributed our annual scripture calendar to every home here. The calendars, along with the billboard message over Christmas are a very visible witness around town. We do thank the Lord for this opportunity and pray for eternal results. […]

We pray that the calendars which are being distributed into homes in the area of the assembly will be well received by our neighbours. Pray that this silent message each month will challenge people to make enquiries as many are troubled during these uncertain days. […]

In-person meeting

Submited By: Burnett, Colin & Natalie

Thankfully restrictions here have been lifted until January 6th, so we had our first in-person meeting this past weekend. Services can only be an hour long, so that means squeezing breaking of bread and some ministry into 1 hour. The government will reassess the restrictions in January. […]

Many seem content

One of our big pastoral concerns is for those who have been on the fringes and don’t make the effort to meet during these times. We attempt to keep in touch, but many seem content to remain at a distance. We hope that in December we will be able to resume in-person meetings and pray […]

Another reason we need to meet in person

Submited By: Burnett, Colin & Natalie

According to the news, it looks like there will be no church gatherings until Christmas. We have been closed for the past 5 weeks after being open for 2 months. While we are thankful for Zoom, we are concerned that 3/4 of the people don’t attend on Zoom. Please pray with us, as this is […]

Assembly temporarily closed again

Submited By: Sheldon, Colin & Rosemary

Since September began, we have been in advanced lockdown and the doors of the assembly are temporarily closed again. As very few believers have equipment, it is not possible to meet on Zoom. Every day, Colin sends a text message, giving a Bible verse to encourage them. We look to the Lord for His help. […]

Hoping the restriction will be eased

Submited By: Burnett, Colin & Natalie

Almost every week we meet people on the street asking when we will be open for coffee morning. We are hoping the restriction will be eased by the 21st as that is the date all pubs in Ireland can open. We pray as we wait and see what happens this week. […]

Visitors are not allowed

Submited By: Sheldon, Colin & Rosemary

At this time of the year, Colin would be visiting the schools to arrange his program for teaching ‘Bible Explorer’. The schools have now reopened, but visitors are not allowed beyond the front door. Some Principals have asked him to talk to them in October. Please pray that this program will continue to have an […]
