Santa Cruz is now on their 19th day of a Civil Strike. Consequently, there are many roadblocks and we cannot go out. In addition, certain foods are difficult to find, gasoline is hard to buy, and if you find them, they’re expensive. Some stores and businesses are open twice a week for half a day, so there are only a few hours each day when we can go out to purchase groceries.
Please pray about this situation. People are very angry and there is some rioting in the streets. Due to this ongoing strife, all programs have been put on hold. Some people are able to attend church if they live close by. Although we cannot go out, we can still order building materials and we can counsel and assist others over the telephone. If this problem is not resolved quickly, we face uncertain days. We leave this all in the Lord’s hands. We count on you for your intercession and support.
