This past Friday, Ruth had a pre-surgery check-up. After doing a scan, the surgeon said that comparing what she saw with the first scan done, the mass hasn’t grown in size although Ruth feels more pain.
On August 24th, the surgeon will make small incisions and go in with a scope to see what the mass is and take a biopsy to see if it can be removed that way, otherwise she will have to do a more invasive surgery. We are awaiting word from the radiologist. For the next couple of weeks Ruth has to follow a rigid schedule in preparation for surgery.
