Following the very positive response to a book table set up at a local mall and a “good news breakfast”, we went before the Lord in Fasting and prayer and subsequently launched an appeal at the assembly. Five families responded, some of whom live in Alma and the surrounding area, and since July 21st, 2024, a small group meets every Sunday for the Lord’s Supper and teaching of the Word and on Tuesday evenings in a home for prayer. We are currently in the process of obtaining permissions from the city to rent commercial space that interests us near the downtown of Alma. Intercession through prayer is a great need at this stage as the foundations of this testimony are being laid down. Also pray for a “Good News breakfast” with singing and testimony planned at the restaurant “Le Normandin” in Alma on October 5th. Pray also for the follow-up of contacts made during these lunches and at our annual corn roast that took place at the end of August in Jonquière. Some have expressed the desire to take bible introductory courses and some have begon the Good News course by William MacDonald.
