Good Hope Ministries has a program called Protecting Our Children (POC). The brother who heads up this program writes:
“Areas in northern Malawi often force young girls into early marriages that result in either the death of the mother or of the unborn child. As young girls there are not safe or cared for, Good Hope’s POC hope to have face to face meetings with leaders and households and their chiefs to teach them POC lessons so they will have a clear understanding of living God’s way. This is a great challenge. Children are neglected, rejected, and have no one to look after them due to widespread alcoholism. Keep praying for us and the POC committees that the Lord will give us strength, wisdom, and enough resources to reach out to these children and the communities at large.’
