Over the years we have had a wonderful ministry opportunity reaching the children of Quebrada Amarilla with our Saturday morning Bible classes. However due to the lack in numbers to help us teach multiple age groups, we only have two classes with a wide range of ages in each. We suspect that for this reason it has been hard to to keep older teens and youth engaged and interested in coming out on saturday mornings, so we have been praying for a way and opportunity to reach that demographic. We already have 4 meeetings in a week, so we feel like adding a 5th might feel overwhelming for some, and with a toddler and a newborn the weight of a 5th meeting feels even heavier. Come the dry season, we began to set up a volleyball net on the local soccer field Saturday afternoon/evenings, we noticed a large turnout of older teens and youth, exactly the group we had been praying about. We plan on making this a weekly event, maybe adding other field games, initially using this time to create relationships and connections with the yout, but planning on using this opportunity to begin sharing a brief gospel message.
