Before the summer we asked prayer for a financial need of $100,000 for us to be able to go ahead with the purchase of the building for our training centre and student outreach. About 70% of this has been given, which is a huge encouragement to us! But shortly after, the owner backed away from the sales agreement, fearing that city hall will take too long to grant us a permit. This means that he is able and trying to sell his building to another buyer while we wait for city approval, which can take up to six months. The saga goes on! This was a great disappointment to us, but we are encouraged by a story in the Gospels. Before the Lord allowed his disciples to catch an amazing amount of fish by simply casting their net on the other side, he had done another miracle by hindering all fish from going into their nets all night long. So we are praying that God will do a similar miracle and hinder any buyers from wandering into the owner’s net until city hall has granted us a building permit! Perhaps God is just giving us the time to find the remaining funds.
