Tabuk City is under a huge wave of COVID cases. Most of the hospitals surrounding us had to close last week due to staff being infected. This week, our staff [at the Maternity Clinic] have also been exposed to multiple positive patients and 2 staff members have tested positive and were taken to the quarantine center. The City Health Office has instructed us that we need to temporarily close our doors to patients until all of our staff have been swabbed. Our hearts are aching for the pregnant women we serve and we are praying for all negative swabs for the rest of the staff. Please pray that the closure will be short and we can open our doors quickly again as we have a huge number of women due in October with no other options for safe deliveries.”
(Update, Sept 28) Unfortunately, more than half of the staff tested positive and the clinic has been closed for 2 weeks. Pray that they will all swab negative at their next test and we can open again. So far, they are all asymptomatic save one who has mild symptoms. We are very thankful for that! Thank you for your continued prayers and support.
