Prayer Update – Stuart Some weeks ago we asked you to pray for a young man named Stuart, who underwent a major operation for an obstruction of his lower esophagus. For six to seven weeks after surgery he did remarkably well and was recovering steadily. Sadly, we recently learned that he has passed away. From a medical point of view, his death is not fully understood. He developed kidney failure, and despite careful review, the exact cause remains unclear. This is painful and humbling for us as clinicians — and heartbreaking as caregivers. Yet we rest in something far greater than medical explanations. Our Lord and Savior remains completely sovereign. Scripture reminds us that we have died, and our lives are hidden with Christ in God; and when Christ, who is our life, appears, we also will appear with Him in glory. Stuart heard the gospel clearly and consistently during his time with us. We trust that he responded to the Lord Jesus and is now with Him in glory. While our hearts grieve the loss of such a young life, our eyes remain fixed on Christ, who holds Stuart — and all of us — in His hands. Thank you for continuing to pray for his family and the hope of the gospel in the lives of the People of Zambia and Angola
