Update on the young man who had the esophageal operation: We are thankful to share that the surgery has been completed. The surgery took approximately 6.5 hours, and we are grateful to the Lord that the procedure itself went well. During the postoperative period it became apparent that our patient’s beliefs adds complexity in managing his care. Please continue to pray earnestly for his recovery. This was a very major operation, and the days ahead carry many potential challenges. We also ask for prayer concerning his spiritual condition. We ask that the Lord would graciously open his eyes to the gospel.
