Super Typhoon Lawin

Super Typhoon Lawin crossed the northern Philippines a couple of weeks ago and went right over us! It was the most terrifying night we’ve ever experienced, but in the morning our house was still standing. We emerged to see what damage had been done around the village. A few grass roofs partially blew off, including our neighbor’s roof. Thankfully our neighbors had spent the night in our basement so they didn’t get drenched. The Lord aimed the hundreds of downed branches and trees away from houses. We were so thankful that there were neither injuries nor loss of life in our village. Please pray for the villagers as they try to salvage their damaged crops and function without electricity, which may not be restored for a while. The typhoon affected other locations of NTM workers nearby more severely. Please pray as these teams are involved in ongoing relief work and repairs to their own homes.
