Last month we received notice that three Syrian families were being located in Newcastle West. Just after hearing about this, Natalie and I were out driving when we passed a young woman wearing a hijab. We stopped the car and called over to her and her brother and found out they were from Syria and had just arrived the day before. They contacted one of the other families and we met up with them that afternoon. They were all so happy to have people visit with them and continue to be. We have now been in contact with all three families and as a fellowship have been able to be a help to them in practical ways. All three families are sending their children to our kids’ club and two families have sent their children to Sunday school.
