Update

Hurricane Iota was bigger and dumped a lot more rain on Nicaragua than Hurricane Eta did. Though as a whole Nicaragua was not hit extremely hard, there were some devastating events that took place.
A funeral was held yesterday for 5 people who drowned due to a river overflowing its banks near La Conquista, a town a few kilometers from Jinotepe. Some of the deceased were in their home along a riverbank when it was swept away by the surging waters in the early morning.
One of the biggest material losses will be the crops of beans, rice, and corn that suffered damage because of the strong winds and excessive rains. This will put some economical stress on the poorer families that depend on the crops for their food.
On behalf of the believers (especially from Honduras) a big thank you for the prayers over these last few weeks and for the aid being forwarded to help them rebuild.
