Follow-up work Despite a few setbacks and extreme heat, we had full attendance at the VBS in Belize City. It was very encouraging to have a better than average attendance at Youth Camp, the best to date. Harsh lives It's hard to communicate how harsh it is here for some of the people we work with. Most of the young men have no fathers in their lives and little or no prospect for their future. Gangs are so attractive here because they offer identity, belonging and money. Please continue to pray for them. Read more
Sing-along The weekly sing-along and gospel meeting at the seniors’ home is now ended until we return from furlough. It’s so encouraging to see faces glow as they sing along. Staff members join in with singing and hear the Gospel. Read more
A local senior’s home Please pray for Monday’s gospel meetings at a local seniors’ home. Ask that the songs and messages would result in salvation of staff and residents, and also give encouragement to those who are believers. Read more
Sideswiped by a truck Vera was sideswiped by a dump truck that veered into her lane and damaged the whole side of the vehicle. Vera and two children aboard were not hurt. We thank God for His hand of protection and for seatbelts! Read more
Midnight service The New Year was rung in with a midnight service at Western Paradise Bible Chapel. We were pleased to have a mother, her daughter, and an aunt drop in for the service. The daughter has begun attending youth group. Read more
A kids’ club I (Vera) have started a kids’ club. I was introduced to a lady and her nine children. They are very poor. It’s such a joy to minister the Gospel to them. The new van picks them up for Sunday School. Only the dad won’t come yet, but he listens at the kids’ club. Read more
‘Against the Flow’ Year 2 of ‘Overflow’ youth ministry is off to a great start. There are over 30 kids attending on a consistent basis. Beaming In the last month there have been several professions of faith at Berea assembly. One lady is 'on fire for the Lord'. Pray for her. She attends prayer meeting with lists of people she wants to see saved and brings some on Sundays, her face always beaming with her newfound faith. Read more
A full follow‑up strategy We just returned from camp. After the last message, a number made professions of faith and some of the youth rededicated their lives to the Lord. We saw clear evidence of the Holy Spirit working. There is a full follow‑up strategy in place and we are looking forward to making connections and seeing them grow. Read more
