Noche Mexicana This year we saw many new people at our Noche Mexicana! They heard a clear gospel presentation, along with a program of poetry, music, folk dances, gospel mime, and a spread of Mexican food provided by the church families. The soil of hearts is hard This summer we were supporting the outreach efforts of Southwest Bible Camp. The soil of hearts is hard, and the challenges of reaching today’s youth (often from dysfunctional homes) are not easy. The Gospel was clearly presented. Please pray for eternal fruit. Read more
We pray for a bountiful harvest An open Sunday school class has resumed, and it has been good to see children attending again. We are not back to where we were before the pandemic, but are happy to see little ones interested in coming. We pray for a bountiful harvest for the glory of God in their lives. Read more
Children with modern technology On September 9-10, we’re holding a Parents in Action camp. We’ve noticed how powerfully the enemy is warring against children with modern technology. We fear the loss of a whole generation. Please pray for the Lord to provide wisdom and direction as we appeal to the parents and warn them of these dangers. Pray also for insight on their part. A volleyball team We invited the coach and students of a volleyball team to the camp for a day of games and a meal. In all, 24 people came and we were able to share the Gospel and have good conversations. Many gave their contact information. We pray that they may want to study the Bible. Read more
Various open markets We started doing open-air preaching and handing out New Testaments in Oacalco in various open markets. The believers here love participating. It is a great opportunity to get out into the community and let the people of the town know what we are about. Please pray for fruit. Quite a few people stop to listen to the short gospel message. Pray for open doors The requisites for re-entry into the prison have been completed, but the doors remain closed to the physical presence of outsiders. Cells are crowded and we are now into a new serious wave of COVID. Yet the personal messages, letters, and phone calls continue to arrive from inside the prison walls. Please pray for open doors. A week of Bible studies Over the summer we plan to do some traveling to assemblies for teaching meetings. Please pray for safety as we move around. Also, as we’ve done yearly (other than during the pandemic) we plan to host in our home for any missionaries who can attend. Read more
Weekly gospel tracts We are involved with Publicaciones Pescadores, who produce new g every Monday. We have a Facebook page for our website Salvameya, and we post the weekly tract in Central & South America. Each week there are thousands of likes, comments, and shares. Please pray for fruit. Around the lake As a church, the Lord has put on our hearts to reach every home around the lake of Pátzcuaro (26 villages) with a Gospel of John. Various gifted evangelists in the church faithfully pursue this goal every Saturday. Pray that this would open up doors for evangelistic studies. Read more
