Forty children and their families

A church in a nearby city has sponsored some activities for our young people. Three times a week they hold guitar lessons, some for beginners and also for those who know how to play. There are also English lessons and piano lessons. Please pray for the 40 children attending and their families, that they would all come to Christ.

Suffering in their home country

Our work with at-risk women continues. Some come due to ongoing religious repression they are suffering in their home country. A few of them continue to study the Bible and attend our meetings. Pray for their salvation, and for strength and grace in ministering to them.

Salinas

We thank the Lord for His work in Salinas, an agricultural town about a half hour away. A brother there shares his faith regularly. We are starting an evangelism training program this week to encourage this brother and his ministry there. Pray for a friend of his, who would like to join the work in that town.

Newcomers to Canada

We continue to pick up families at the airport and help them settle in Canada. One family we picked up has expressed interest in getting to know the Bible. We are thankful for the opportunity the Lord has brought to us and are praying for wisdom as we teach them. Please pray for their salvation.

The Lord opened a door to set up a Gospel giveaway table on August 13th at the pow wow. I just need to bring thirty cases of water for the dancers! Please pray for helpers and that the Word would go forth in power for God’s glory!

Andrew’s health

Andrew had a regular health check-up last Tuesday, and the doctor recommended having a thyroid biopsy. We got the result on Friday; Andrew has cancer. Our doctor friend helped find a hospital where Andrew could get surgery immediately. Andrew went to the hospital on Saturday and his surgery took place on Tuesday, July 12th. Their kids should be free

Last month several participated in a week of kids’ meetings at two parks. Several children came, including some from two daycares. One of the members of our team shared a tract with the director of one of the daycares. The director sent photos of each page of the tract to the parents. We have had 13 unchurched people

One of the ladies who has been writing out the New Testament brought her completed notebook. We have had 13 unchurched people finish writing out the New Testament, and now, two ladies from within the church have finished it too! Please pray for those who continue to write out the New Testament.
