A small Christmas program

Sunday School at the church is going really well. About 40 kids come every week. Several are from the community and come on their own. It is exciting to see their desire to learn more about the Lord. We would like to do and pray that the kids’ parents will come and hear the Gospel.

Yánesha and Asháninka tribes

A church leader in the Yánesha tribe has caught a vision for missions in the area and organized his family and another believer to take the Gospel to villages in his tribe and in the neighbouring  which does not have any believers. One family has already received Christ as their Saviour. Please pray for their spiritual growth.

Huallaga River

A friend joined Pablo and seven Peruvians for a trip to the jungle from October 12–21. They are engaged in medical work, evangelism, teaching, preaching, and children’s ministry as they visit 8 different villages along the Huallaga River. Please pray for safety and effective ministry.

We continue to distribute El Dominical, our Sunday school paper, in two locations. Many of our students now understand that the only way to be saved is through putting their trust in Jesus. Two women who are receiving the paper have trusted Christ. A 14-year-old boy also put his trust in the Lord and is now doing a discipleship Bible…

Grateful for the help

Though times continue to be hard, the Lord is working. We are sharing the Gospel with Venezuelan refugee families. They are so grateful for the help they receive and want to know the Lord. Please pray they would come to have a saving, transforming faith in Jesus.

We continually see the need to expand the capacity at Morning Star Children’s Home. The Lord has seen fit to provide resources that will allow us to retrofit some of our existing classroom spaces into additional living quarters. Thank you so much for your prayers!

Adoptions are happening again

Three siblings at Morning Star Home have been cleared for adoption since October 2019. The pandemic has slowed the process, but this year national and international adoptions are both happening again. Please pray the Lord will provide the right family to adopt these precious kids.

The Lord is blessing us with opportunities to share the Gospel. Although we have seen so many suffer over the last year and a half, there are many who were unaware of their need for Jesus until they passed through the pain of the pandemic or the pain of being a refugee.

The many needy churches in his tribe

We recently learned of a large tribe in Peru that has many churches but very few national workers. In His sovereignty, God connected us to them through one of their key workers who travelled to Lima to be with his brother who was seriously ill in hospital. Better ways to connect

We now have more COVID-related deaths per day than at any other time during the pandemic. Vaccines have not reached the general population. Churches have been closed for the last few months. Many don’t join Zoom meetings. Please pray we can find better ways to connect.
