The year is winding down and many are now preparing their year-end giving to mission workers and projects through MSC Canada for inclusion in their 2024 tax returns.
As we’re sure you’ve seen in the news, the Canada Post strike is ongoing and, at the time of writing, the federal government is intervening but it’s unclear how reliably the mail will flow heading toward year end.
DEADLINES FOR YEAR END GIVING
Donations must be received prior to midnight EST on December 31st, 2024 to be eligible for a 2024 tax receipt.
The last day for setting up Direct Debit is December 20th, 2024 and Direct Debit funds will be withdrawn on December 23rd, 2024.
Please note that our office will be closed from Tuesday, December 24th, 2024 until we reopen on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025. If you require assistance, please reach out before the office closes on Christmas Eve!
WAYS TO GIVE
CREDIT CARD / PAYPAL
To give online with your credit card or PayPal account, head to our website msccanada.org and click on Give. Please note that credit card and PayPal donations will have 3% added which offsets the fees we are charged to process those forms of payment.
DIRECT DEBIT (PAD)
You can authorize us to withdraw one-time and recurring monthly gifts directly from your bank account. Please read our Direct Debit info page for more information. If you have PAD already set up, you do not need to complete the form again to make one-time donations, just contact our team. The last day for setting up Direct Debit is December 20th, 2024 and Direct Debit funds will be withdrawn on December 23rd, 2024. This method does not incur fees.
ETRANSFER

CHEQUE
Those wishing to drop of cheques at our office in Markham can do so through the mail slot by our front entrance. Cheques must be dated 2024 to be eligible for 2024 tax receipt. Those wishing to chance the postal system need to ensure their mail is postmarked 2024 also. Our address is:
