Alarming The situation in Brazil is alarming. The country is now into a 9-day-long nationwide truckers’ strike that is paralyzing the country. Fuel is scarce if any. Shelves are being emptied in the supermarkets. Hospitals are running low on medication and oxygen. Many smaller airports are closed to air traffic. Epidemic Bussing the Sunday School children from the slum district still has not started because it is difficult to get couples to go and pick up the children. In addition, the yellow fever epidemic has started up again. Please, pray about this! Read more

Still able to teach Recently the Supreme Federal Court of Justice established that classes can continue to be given in the same manner that they were being administrated. For some time, there had been a debate going on since some officials judged the action unconstitutional. I thank the Lord that I am still able to reach many children through this open door. Read more
Yellow fever The bus that was bringing children from the slum to Sunday School has stopped bussing them because the elders thought it wise to discontinue until the yellow fever epidemic is over. Calendars In November I will give out the calendars sent by the different assemblies. Not only the children, but the school staff also look forward to getting the calendars. Also, this year two sisters had about 1000 calendars printed with verses on them. These will be distributed in the neighborhood, together with an invitation to the Christmas program. Read more
Booklets for children The Bible classes in public schools continue. A brother is publishing some very nice booklets for children to study the Bible.
