Storefront Every day hundreds of people pass by our church's storefront and some come in. Since the beginning of the year we've given out 40 Bibles. Our storefront allows us to connect with our neighborhood. Pray that we will be able to connect and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Read more
Good fruit The Paris City Project will take on a new dimension this school year. We long to see the Gospel take root in our neighbourhood, producing good fruit. Please pray for this and for Matthew as he enters his final phase of studies and has his master’s thesis to complete. Read more
Mini Bible school While recently in Belgium we conducted a mini Bible School. It is one week of intensive classes for young people between the ages of 18 and 30. Something specifically for them Today was the final ladies' meeting before the summer break. It is thrilling to see the ladies open up to share their joys and struggles. Small groups We had a meeting with the leaders of our small groups at the Beaujoire church. It was interesting to have feedback from them. It is proving difficult to integrate new people who come along on Sundays into the groups. Pray that more people will become involved in these groups which provide precious time for study and fellowship. Read more
Practical ministries As a body of believers, we continue to minister to migrants by means of evangelism and practical ministries such as food, clothing, paperwork and teaching French. Evangelism is a challenge. Read more
Ladies’ group This year I've begun to help out in a small assembly. There's a good women's group there that meets once a month. Some ladies from other worship places also attend. Evangelistic team Once again, we went out with our evangelistic team and had some great conversations with people in the center of our town. We had opportunities to distribute Christian literature, including several gospels. Please pray for these efforts. Read more
Looking forward to invite them in We have started renovating our new building. One of the joys is realizing the number of students that actually do stroll by every day, stopping to eat lunch on our terrace because there is a little wall to sit on and some shade from the sun which is already hot here. Issues that crop up A new activity has been launched at our church dealing with various issues that crop up in marriage, from a Biblical viewpoint. A meal is served at the event, and the church has invested in little round tables for two, so that husband and wife can have conducive circumstances to talk to each other.
