Touched by music Whether believers or not, many Ukrainian refugees come to the Friday family night. We end these with a devotional and sometimes special music. What’s the Story? In the Autumn, there will be a nationwide Gospel effort called What’s the Story? which will challenge people in their relationship with God. Advertising will be done through media, billboards, etc. Our plan with our assembly is to reach people in the immediate area during this period, and we look to the Lord for profitable openings. Lost, lonely, despondent We continue to present the Gospel in the market, at front doors, or during our coffee morning. A sketch board The principal of an “all Irish” school, whom we knew as a child when she came to different kids’ clubs we ran in the assembly, remembered that I used a sketch board to get the message across. New friendships We had a Christian Ukrainian family living with us for over 7 weeks. The local community found a house for them to rent. Rosemary is now home Please pray for Rosemary. She is now home from hospital, having suffered a milder form of the COVID, and will need to isolate until Friday. The doctors believe she has a heart murmur which will be dealt with through the outpatient department. The lung issue which has troubled her for many years still causes problems. Read more
Refugees We are receiving Ukrainian and other refugees into Ireland. In the last two weeks we have met and reached out to around 50 of the 300 refugees staying at the nearby hotel. A Nigerian believer who also came as a refugee is helping us reach out. She is also designing a leaflet for us to connect with more. Your prayers… Read more
Ways to make an impact So far, 60 Ukrainians have arrived in our town and we were able to provide some needed supplies. We will try to visit again with a Ukrainian brother. We would appreciate your prayers as we look for ways to make an impact on the refugees. Ireland is expecting around 200,000 to come. Read more
