‘Ladies Fit for Life’ Each Tuesday in May, my church held their annual ‘Ladies Fit for Life’ gospel outreach. The evening started with a walk around the village of Drum. Natalie’s health Please pray with us for Natalie, she was admitted to hospital on Monday with a very low heart rate. She has been feeling weak and exhausted for the past month or so. Different ways In the Assembly we opened the doors on some Saturday mornings in May and June for coffee, but no one took up the offer. For those of us who did go along, we had a lovely time of fellowship together. Prayer is valued as we look at different ways of reaching out to the local community. Read more
Food bank The work of the food bank is going strong. Many comment on their appreciation of what is done for them. Not just the food, but that they are made to feel welcomed and treated with respect. The food is just one part of the work, building bridges with people for the Gospel is the rest. Read more
Community 3-day clubs This year we are planning three camps. Then the balance of the summer we will be holding community 3-day clubs. We feel it is vital that we remain active in the various communities during the summer months. For many, we are their only Christian witness. Read more
Another good publication We would like to do another distribution this summer. In years past the ‘4you’ Christian magazine was put out in this area, but they are no longer printing them. We are currently looking for another good publication to put in mailboxes. Read more
The first of many celebrations We celebrated two baptisms. The two ladies came in contact with our church through our presence in the neighbourhood. Please pray for them. Pray that this will be the first of many celebrations for our church. Read more
Summer term In the summer term, Colin will drive down to rural Westmeath to teach ‘Bible Explorer’ in three schools. This will involve a 230 km round trip and the challenge of driving down some narrow lanes to get to one school, but children will be blessed by God’s Word. Please stand with us in prayer. Read more
