Youth events Several young lads have faithfully attended our youth events over the last couple years and continue to, despite two of them being over 18. None have made profession of faith and we pray that they would come to realize their need and accept the Lord as their personal Saviour. Read more
Homelessness Even with the many success stories through God’s work at The Light House, homelessness continues to worsen here. This is a complicated issue. The challenges, causes and needs of homeless are extensive and yet it is our desire to engage with each individual God sends through our doors in a loving way, participating in His restoring work in each life. Teaching practice Colin is into a new round of ‘Bible Explorer’ lessons in schools. In recent weeks the student-teachers have been in some of the classes as part of their teaching practice, which means they learn as well. Please pray for them. Read more
Encouraged We are encouraged with the growth of some in our small assembly. Recently two of the younger men took the mid-week Bible study and did an excellent job. Please pray for them. Read more
Carols by Candlelight We have been doing our ‘Carols by Candlelight’ service for the past 8 years. This year over 100 came along and 70 of those were unsaved contacts from various outreaches, as well as some volunteers from the foodbank. Read more
Gospel calendars Most of 1000 gospel calendars have been distributed into the homes around the Assembly. Please pray the calendars will have a prominent place in these homes, and people will be willing to contact us through the website, or by visiting us in the Assembly. Read more
Rosemary Rosemary was admitted to the hospital this evening, and will probably be in for a few days as they observe and give increased medication. This is the 5th time this year that Rosemary has been admitted to Hospital, for the same condition, which is her lungs and asthma. Read more
Not ‘a million miles away’ Colin is into his 21st year teaching ‘Bible Explorer’ in primary schools. The stories we read in the Bible, are not ‘a million miles away’ from up-to-date situations children face today. This is why they can identify with them. Thank you for standing with me in prayer. Camps in the mountains Dublin Christian Mission had three camps in the mountains. In the evenings we engaged in worship and testimonies by the campfire. We had wonderful opportunities to connect with kids, teens and parents on a much deeper level. Pray for them! We shared about life, faith and what it means to have a relationship with God. Read more
Contacts We have been encouraged by folks joining us for the family service and other outreaches. These are primarily contacts from the food bank. We pray that they will see their need of salvation and turn to Christ. Read more
Real desire to learn Colin’s work in the schools, is now back in full swing, teaching ‘Bible Explorer’. When he walks into class, children ask what they are going to learn in that lesson. This is exciting, as they display a real desire to learn more about the Lord. Keep praying for them. Read more
