‘Soccer Guys’

Twice a week I [Stephen] play soccer with teens from the community that live around the church. Most of them do not attend any church. However, after playing, they hear a short message from Scripture. It has now been almost four years since I started ministering to the 'soccer guys'. I have gotten a bit closer to two of them…

To start another work

The process of establishing leadership in our assembly has been tougher than anticipated, but we see the hand of the Lord in all of it. We’re thankful that some of the kinks are being worked out before we leave to start another work somewhere else. Pray for the Lord’s guidance.

New, fledgling work

The Lord did great things last week in Ciudad Hidalgo as we went door-to-door. We could tell that many were wrestling in prayer with us. Pray that the Lord would provide someone full-time, to care for this…

An upside is that more people are outside their homes during the preaching in the open-air on Saturday afternoons. Pray for the outreaches from the assembly.

Small surrounding towns

We started the year giving out bread, coffee, tracts and Bibles at the local hospital once a month. The gifted evangelists in our church move around, talking, sharing and feeding the poor people from surrounding towns who are desperate for hope. We pray that the Lord will open up doors to these small surrounding towns through this ministry.

Seeking out towns

We will be taking a weeklong trip to Jalisco with the purpose to seeking out towns that are in need of an evangelical church. The towns in this state are very religious and many do not have even one messenger of the Gospel to proclaim the true way of salvation. Entering these towns will be a covert operation. Pray that…
