Fala The assembly here has decided to start an outreach program in Fala, a tiny town down the road. We will be going there on Saturdays and trying to get a kids’ club started. Please pray for all of us who are involved, that we will depend on the Lord and not on our own ability. Read more
More intakes The government’s concern for the disenfranchised has been declining. Other facilities around the country are closing as social conditions deteriorate. The authorities continually contact Morning Star Children’s Home with requests for more intakes. Please pray for the children’s salvation. Read more
Study tools Whily had the privilege of giving Study Bibles and study tools to 15 leaders in the countryside. Everyone was excited. We take for granted how accessible books are to us. Our brothers and sisters in the countryside don’t have access to study aids. Pray these study tools will help them prepare their messages and continue to grow and mature. Read more
Unceasing prayer requests Our weekly Bible study seems to be leading a good number of our participants to make bold moves in their own families. The large majority come to the study without their spouses. Please pray for them. We delight to hear their unceasing prayer requests for their loved ones! Read more
An Ashaninka Christian worker Pete made a special visit to encourage our co-workers in the Atalaya jungle. Afterwards, they made a short river trip to visit an Ashaninka Christian worker who is going through health trials. He is an amazing church planter who has formed several congregations along the Tambo River. Pete encouraged him to continue serving, in spite of many difficulties. Read more
Class for couples We had two meetings for couples lately. Some of the younger couples desire to learn about marriage and raising children from a biblical perspective. These couples came to the Lord when they were older and haven’t had a Christian example. Pray for them, but especially for some who are not believers and are coming to the class. Read more
Campfire We had a campfire with the youth which included a time of sharing. It was really encouraging to hear many of the young people share about how the Lord is working in their lives and their families. A Shawi community We are thankful for the Lord’s provision and protection as we completed our mission trip to the jungle. We spent a few days in a Shawi community. Their church facility is now complete and they already celebrated a convention of churches in early August. Read more

Committed to grow Every time I travel to rural areas I am humbled by the believers’ commitment to growing in their spiritual knowledge. Despite most of them having little or no formal education, they really want to learn to accurately handle the Word of God, as many walk hours to come to meetings to learn. Read more
More opportunities We now have more opportunities to witness, as the number of refugees from Venezuela has continued to increase. We want to reach out to each person and share the Good News. Many are willing to receive a small Scripture booklet that presents a clear Gospel message. Please pray for us to be sensitive to God’s leading in each conversation. Read more
Bible school students This last Saturday we took our Bible school students on a trip to the river. We take them deep in the jungle and leave them in pairs. The students have been excited by the prospect of trying out what they have learned this first semester. Please pray that they would learn a lot and be a blessing. Read more
