Monumental decisions

The orphanage board has been discussing options of selling part of the land with an eye to relocate in the not-so-distant future. This is necessary due to contamination from the coal plant, excessive property taxes, being in an isolated location, and being in constant threat of unscrupulous neighbors and squatters. Please pray for the Lord to guide in these monumental…

Difficult research trip

We thank the Lord that our co-worker returned safely from a difficult research trip in which he was investigating the true situation of certain unreached tribes in this country. He found out that their spiritual and social condition was more difficult than we imagined and that a certain secular organization is blocking all missionary efforts to reach them. We pray…

Youth retreat

We are thinking of organizing a youth retreat in February. It will be the first time doing something like this with them. Pray that the Lord will give us wisdom as we plan and organize the event. My desire is that they will be encouraged and challenged to serve the Lord more seriously.

Young teens

One of the positives of accepting young teens at Morning Star Children's Home is that they can clearly understand the Gospel. When the Lord brings them our way, that is the priority. One girl came, and after a series of Bible Studies with Crystal Rudy she professed faith in Christ. On September 30th she was one of two people baptized.…

Freedom

Accurate information

We thank the Lord for providing a brother to make a much-needed trip to the extreme southern part of Peru to find out what is really happening to the Amarakaeri, Esse Ejja and Mashco Piro tribes. We have heard confusing reports. Churches that are praying for these unreached tribes must receive accurate information about them so that they can know…

The tip of the iceberg

The violent incursion into a segment of the orphanage property that repeatedly cut our power and water supply, was only the tip of the iceberg of a much larger problem that we have come to discover because of it. As we began to peel deeply into the layers of these 64 acres of sand dunes where the orphanage sits, we…

Off-campus education

This is the first year that Morning Star Children's Home kids are being educated off campus. However, it can provide valuable experience as they are faced with applying their training and are challenged to seek to please the Lord regardless of peer pressure. Please pray for them.

We continue to have many visitors at church. Pray that the Lord would help all of us to reach out to the people who are literally walking through the church's doors.

The cause of the fatherless

On the afternoon of Friday, May 4th, one of our neighbours approached the orphanage to present a document signed by the local municipality indicating they are entitled to a new set of land coordinates. This new would mean that they would be allowed to enlarge their land bordering the orphanage. Typically, when resolutions like this are granted, thorough research and…
