A great group of men Third term is always the busiest for our kitchen at Sakeji school. We have lots of visitors coming and going. Students Please continue to pray for the students at Sakeji. A number have come to know the Lord, but there are still many who haven't. Also, pray for their families. Many children have gone back home to very difficult circumstances. Read more
Airstrip We had a government inspection of our Loloma airstrip. There are still some issues, as local people continue to vandalize the barbed wire around the perimeter. Straying oxen are an ongoing problem. Despite the burdens of maintenance, and grass and bush cutting, it is a blessing, particularly to the medical work. Read more
My purpose Please pray for the classes that I have in my house: Monday's English class, Wednesday's Luvale reading class, Friday's Bible club for older kids and Saturday's girls' Bible club. My purpose is not only to teach reading, but also to teach God's truths relating to salvation and the walk of the Christian. Read more
To lead them effectively The Lord has really been working at Sakeji School. Six grade 1-2 boys and two younger girls have gotten saved. It's precious to see how their young hearts process their need of a Saviour and work through accepting the awesome gift of salvation. We pray daily that we'll be able to lead them effectively as they start their Christian journey. Read more
Heavy loads Both boys' and girls' camps were well attended this year. The Word is faithfully presented and we leave the results to the Lord. Some girls have had abortions and most of them know at least one friend who has died as a result. Many carry heavy loads of guilt and shame. Our sisters here do a marvelous job of helping… Read more
New requirements The government is starting to put measures in place for the running of private schools, and so our Nursery School has been visited. Generally the local education office is happy with our Nursery School, so we trust it will continue to be used of the Lord to lay a good spiritual foundation in the lives of the 60 pre-school children… Read more
Doctor needed Kalene Mission Hospital Zambia, is in dire straits. We have only one doctor, who is also our District Medical Officer. Fresh food supplies For the first part of the term at Sakeji, it was a struggle to find fresh food supplies, as our food order from South Africa was delayed for several weeks.
