Confusion We have eight children from Shepherd’s Home being sponsored to attend Lyncrest Christian Academy. In a world of changing moral values it is good they can receive a Christian education up to grade six. A cult We’ve seen an increase in the activity of a cult in our village. Many are very devout and rely on a medium to speak on behalf of God to them. Relevant topics We had the pleasure of participating in a youth camp in southern Luzon. Approximately 85 high school and college students from assemblies in the Bicol area attended. Pray for them. David challenged the young adults with four topics that strongly impact them. Read more
Lighter load Steve continues as an integral part of Faith International Academy. Carrying a lighter load lets him substitute where needed, be available for chats with staff and students needing encouragement, and provide advice when asked. Pray for wisdom. Read more
Young believers Some of our youth have a vision of becoming missionaries and some talk about starting an orphanage. Whatever they become, and wherever God calls them, join with me in thanking God and praying for these young believers who are our future leaders and servants of God. Read more
Clinic moved With the need for more room in the elementary building, the birthing clinic moved to the main walking street in the squatter village. Please pray for the Bible studies and programs that are carried out through the clinic and for opportunities to use our HIV/AIDS training in the community. Read more
Younger folk Since the school year finished before Easter most of the assemblies we work with have had well-attended DVBS programs. It has been encouraging to see younger folk being involved in both the planning and leadership of these efforts. We trust the Lord will bring forth much fruit. Read more
Cuatro Christian School Emil's workshop is continuing to meet a need with the local Christian school in Cuatro. He has built several relationships through it. Next year he will lose the 10th graders to a different school due to physical lack of space. A daunting task Special prayer is requested for the process we have started to incorporate Shepherd's Home with the government as an official NGO and becoming licensed with the Department of Social Services which is a requirement being more strictly implemented. It has always seemed like a daunting task, but the Lord has provided two volunteer social workers to help. Read more
Pilgrims We live in a town known for a famous shrine. Each year on Maundy Thursday thousands of pilgrims participate in a five to eight-hour penitential walk, which passes by our subdivision gate. We were able to distribute 1,500 ‘A Message of Hope’ gospel booklets in about 45 minutes. Join us in praying for hearts to be drawn to the Saviour. Read more
Teen Bible study We are excited about a new development from our Kids' Bible Club. Six teenagers have asked to be enrolled in the Emmaus Correspondent Bible Curriculum!
