Spiritual Emphasis Week Faith Academy's high school has a Spiritual Emphasis Week, which culminates with students spending a day serving alongside various ministries. Severely damaged Baliok Bible Fellowship was severely damaged in a flood in October. The members built a protective wall in front of the chapel to protect against further damage in severe rain, but the flooding last week came from a different direction stripping away the land under the chapel. Birthing clinic Doreen has been working in the Hope Alive Birthing Clinic, which is located inside the squatter village. Each morning begins with a Bible study. What a privilege it is to open the Word with these ladies, many who have never opened a Bible! This is then followed by the prenatal checkups. Read more
Ladies Fellowship Ladies Fellowship was renewed after being neglected for many years. The speaker was one of my first-generation disciples who is also one of the women on fire for the Lord. She did very well, encouraging the women in persevering with the faith they have started. Pray for them, as they decided to hold the fellowship on a quarterly basis. Read more
Ongoing opportunity Pray for the ministry of Shepherd’s Home as we continue to offer shelter and support to abandoned women in crisis situations. One of them, raised in an orphanage, is grateful for her job as a house helper. Meanwhile, we have the ongoing opportunity to encourage her in her new life as a Christian. Read more
Like sponges We had another great turnout with our bi-monthly Children's Bible Memory Club. They are like sponges for the Word. We even had a little girl say eight verses in a row! Please pray that God's Word will fall on good soil. Read more
Rescued A new ministry has been started with two Girls’ Homes. These girls have been rescued from sex trafficking and sexual abuse. Our goal is to give them confidence in God. It is heartbreaking to think what they have been through, but comforting to know that they are safe. Read more
