Enhanced Community Quarantine The island of Romblon was put into Enhanced Community Quarantine due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in the main town. The entire island is in panic mode! Sadly, all in-person ministry activities had to be suspended. Please pray for everybody’s safety. Read more
Crops and vegetables The villagers at Sitio Malalim are giving thanks for the abundant yield of crops and vegetables from the seeds we provided. We thank God for this sustainable solution to hunger in their own backyard and pray that we may also see the fruit of the Spirit in their lives as they grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord makes a way Due to COVID- 19, strangers are receiving gospel booklets enthusiastically. Often when I arrive at businesses, the employees have theirs with them and show me. We have been given a supply of Gospels of John in Cebuano, which we have been giving out along with the booklets. The Lord makes a way. Pray for fruit. Read more
Enrollment for Christian schools Our President has decreed that there will be no in-person learning until a COVID-19 vaccine is available, so all classes will be held online. Enrollment for Christian schools has dropped by half. Our teachers are rising to the challenge despite the fact that they are experiencing drastic salary cuts. God’s unique design I have been teaching the youth group about God’s unique design for men and women. My prayer is that their hearts would be healed from the wounds of any past dysfunction and find restoration in Christ. A PowerPoint gospel presentation The Lord brought 63 kids last Saturday! All were very good in following the COVID mandates, which was hard for them. The next Bible Verse Memory Club meeting will be September 26th and we plan to show a PowerPoint gospel presentation to tie together the verses they memorized. Midwives needed In August, Abundant Grace of God Maternity was overwhelmed with patients wanting to deliver with us. In July, two of our mission worker midwives went home and we have been working hard at keeping the clinic running smoothly while understaffed.
